[qrp-l.org] Detroit to Dayton - ?

Oleg,

I would bet you could find a ride from Detroit with someone from that area.
Should be lots of folks coming down from there.

Alternatively, it wouldn't be a bad idea to just get a connecting flight to
Dayton and return to Detroit, but not sure what the cost would be. I
usually find it better to fly in and out of Columbus, Ohio, which is only
about 60 miles from Dayton. Cincinnati is bigger and even closer, but I
never seem to find good flight deals there. Same problem with Dayton.

Now, if you do decide to try Columbus, I would be happy to give you a ride
to and from Dayton if our schedules are reasonably close. I usually fly in
on Wednesday afternoon, and fly out Sunday afternoon or Monday mid-day.

You should post your full schedule, and let others see how it matches up.
That will make it easier for others to offer you some assistance. But, if
possible, you want to schedule your trip so you arrive at least by Wednesday
evening.

I haven't taken a bus anywhere for years, but I suspect the cost savings
wouldn't really be worth it. A bus would take a lot more time, and wouldn't
be that comfortable anyway. Sadly, our train service is pretty dismal too.
