cause i generally do the opposotite///
I try and use 5 watt and make it directional and sure as hadies ah use 8 or ten watts i work sumthin i wanted to work at 5 watts...
dats why i gots a 5 watt machine that will only geaux up to ten watts... it tends to keep me at 5 whats...
    however, u done made a good case for qrp mileage... iffin ur antenna, the heart of the system, an't gonna let u due morn .455 watts of radiation... I say claim the contact as qrp... u done proved the power by math... so 
  iffin u had used a dipole at a half wave elevation that would have had a different result cause ur efficiency would have been one. and ur radiation power close to thirty watty...

   AH SAYS THE MAN CAN CLAIM IT... JOEL
IT BE THE same as putting a db pad in series with the coax and dropping the signal.... hmmmmm..
